Readers may notice the mixture of metric and imperial
measurements within the data sheets. This mixture offers a perspective on
Canadian commerce. Canadians have become accustomed to using metric and expect
some measurements to be in metric. This includes engine sizes, such as 750 cc
or 277 cc as well as fuel tank capacities stated in litres.
However, other things have stayed imperial. Tires still have
12-inch rims. Lawn mower blades are still 24 inches or 36 inches. The tractor
height will still be 72 inches. The most noticeable US measurement is the US
gallon, which is 3.78 litres.
The data sheets for the riding lawn mowers were created
using company-supplied literature, and printed as received. Readers are free to convert imperial measurements to metric.
